Getting the most from Coach
Coach is a chat that answers from your own logs and a sports-science knowledge base. It's there to help you make sense of your training and nutrition, not to hand you a programme.

What Coach works from
Coach sees a summary of what you've logged in Bene: workouts, meals, weight, habits, your plan and targets, plus workouts from Apple Health. It also uses the facts you tell it, like an old injury or when you like to train.
Coach is part of Bene from the start. When you create your account, you agree to it using a summary of what you log, sent to our AI provider to write its replies. The details, including who processes it, are in our Privacy Policy.
A tracker, not a trainer
Coach won't build workouts or programmes for you. It notices progress, answers questions, and suggests ideas in conversation. You stay in charge of your own training.
When Coach checks in
Today from Coach: a short brief on Home on days with something worth saying.
Fueling check-in: about three hours before a planned session (never before 8 AM), with where your protein and calories stand so far.
Refuel nudge: after a session, if you haven't eaten yet.
Weekly review: Sunday evening, covering training, nutrition and weight, with one thing to focus on.
Check-ins skip anything you've already done. There are no marketing messages.
Suggestions you can apply
Sometimes Coach suggests a change you can apply with one tap: an updated daily calorie target, or higher and lower targets for the days around a hard session. Nothing changes until you tap Apply.
What Coach remembers
As you chat, Coach keeps a short list of lasting facts you've told it. See them in Profile → Coach → What Coach remembers, and swipe to forget any of them.
Questions that work well
Ask about your own data: "Has my weight stalled?", "Am I eating enough protein on training days?", "How has my bench press moved this month?" You can also tap Ask Coach about this under charts in Progress.
